Services Offered: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS)

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an FDA-approved procedure that uses magnetic pulses to treat Major Depression. TMS is a non-invasive, outpatient treatment that is typically administered daily for 4-6 weeks. TMS has been shown to be safe and effective in reducing symptoms of depression in patients who have not responded to medication. At Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City, we have a dedicated TMS suite where patients can receive this life-changing treatment.

Services Offered: Spravato Therapy

Spravato is an FDA-approved treatment for Major Depressive Disorder and Treatment Resistant Depression. Spravato is a nasal spray that contains a form of ketamine. Spravato therapy is administered in our office under the supervision of our trained healthcare professionals. Patients receive two doses of Spravato therapy, one week apart, in addition to their current oral antidepressant regimen. Spravato therapy has been shown to be effective in reducing symptoms of depression, including suicidal thoughts, in patients who have not responded to other treatments.
