At American Masonry & General Contracting, we take pride in being a family-owned and operated business, based in Simi Valley, California. With over 36 years of experience in commercial and residential concrete and masonry, we specialize in block walls and custom concrete. Our team also excels in creating beautiful driveways, walkways, and patios.

Our owner, Jamie Gerritsen, has a clear goal in mind: to meet the client's needs, desires, and expectations. We are dedicated to getting the job done in a timely fashion and ensuring our customers are completely satisfied with the final result.

Our business is rooted in a long line of contractors dating back to 1955, when Bob Gerritsen founded Gerritsen Masonry. Four sons were raised in the industry, each of whom contracted for several years before moving on to new careers. After serving in the United States Air Force for four years, Jamie Gerritsen returned to the construction industry and founded American Masonry and General Contracting in 1986.
