Our Story
Our team got its start many years ago in the wall-to-wall carpet cleaning business. During that time, we developed a real expertise in the methods and techniques that are necessary to clean the highly durable nylon or Olefin carpet that is found in most homes and businesses. However, when we discovered that those same techniques were often being used to clean valuable hand-made wool and silk Oriental and other fine area rugs, we were horrified! Synthetic wall-to-wall carpeting can withstand mechanical scrubbing, strong cleaning agents, high-pressure spraying, and high-temperature cleaning, but these techniques can damage fine rugs permanently.
Our Process
At Area Rug Cleaning Company, we care for the finest to the most basic rugs from around the world. We will pick-up and bring your rugs back to our special cleaning facility where they will go through our thorough cleaning process for maximum soil and spot removal. Our process includes inspection, dusting, washing, and drying. We proudly use equipment furnished by Centrum Force, an Ann Arbor-based company. Dusting is the most important step of the cleaning process, which is why we use a mechanical dusting machine to remove dirt, dust, and debris that can dull and scratch fibers.
