Our Story

Our journey began in December 2016 when local entrepreneurs Micah and Matt decided to open their own seafood business. With a lifelong involvement in commercial fishing, they wanted to offer their customers quality seafood products from the beautiful waters of North Carolina. Matt, a seasoned fisherman, owns the F/V Mr. Finn and F/V Hardway, and spends his time harvesting tuna, swordfish, and mahi. Micah, a fourth-generation fish monger, manages the fish house and sells fresh NC seafood.

Our Services

At Fresh Catch Seafood, we offer a wide range of services to cater to your seafood needs. Our retail location at 4331 Mill Landing Road in Wanchese, NC, is open year-round, although our hours may vary due to winter weather and labor shortages. You can visit us to buy fresh seafood, including tuna, mahi, swordfish, croakers, bluefish, sea mullet, and shrimp. We also provide packaging and freezing services for your catch. Simply bring us your fish fillets or loins, and our experts will trim, portion, vacuum seal, and freeze them for easy travel and future meal preparation.
