Our Mission

The White River Regional Solid Waste Management District strives to foster a clean and healthy environment through innovative and sustainable waste reduction, recycling, and disposal solutions. We empower our communities in northern central Arkansas to make informed waste reduction decisions through education, promotion, and enforcement of best practices.

Who We Are

Composed of dedicated professionals, the White River Regional Solid Waste Management District serves the diverse communities of Cleburne, Fulton, Independence, Izard, Jackson, Sharp, Stone, Van Buren, White, and Woodruff counties. We work collaboratively with local governments, businesses, and individuals to implement comprehensive waste management solutions that benefit our natural resources and communities.

1. Community Recycling Programs

We establish and maintain convenient recycling centers across the region, providing accessible and accessible waste reduction opportunities for households. These centers accept various materials, including paper, plastic, glass, and metal.

2. E-Waste Recycling & Disposal

We responsibly manage the disposal of electronics, including computers, televisions, cell phones, and other devices containing hazardous materials. This ensures environmental protection and promotes sustainable electronics management.

3. Household Hazardous Waste Disposal

We offer safe and responsible disposal solutions for a variety of household hazardous materials, preventing contaminants from harming our environment and water sources.

4. Composting & Waste Reduction Programs
