Who We Are

Magic Wok is a family-owned and operated restaurant that has been serving the Toledo area for over four decades. Founded in 1983 by Sutas Pipatjarasgit and his wife Nucharee, our vision is to provide the best Asian cuisine in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Our story began with a humble start, with only $300 in our pocket. We have since grown to nine locations throughout the Toledo area, employing over 500 staff members and serving thousands of customers daily.

Our Story

Sutas Pipatjarasgit, our founder, immigrated to the United States in 1968 in search of the American Dream. After working hard and facing numerous entrepreneurial failures, he found the magic that would become Magic Wok. With only $300 in his pocket, Sutas borrowed money on a handshake and promised to pay for design and construction services with his word. He quickly opened Magic Wok and paid off his debts within a year. Sutas' vision was to create a quick-service restaurant that served fresh, cooked-to-order Asian and Chinese entrees in an open kitchen. He prioritized 5-star service and committed to providing the Toledo area with the best Asian cuisine.
