At Big Jim's Floors, Inc., we are a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the tri-state area since 2001. Our History

Big Jim's Floors officially opened on November 1st, 2001. Jim, the founder, had a wealth of experience in the flooring industry before starting his own business. He worked at North Georgia Carpets in McCaysville, Georgia, followed by Smith's Floors & Walls, which later became Floormasters in Blue Ridge. He then went on to work for Gordon's Flooring before deciding to go out on his own. All of these stores are now out of business, but the experience gained led to the establishment of Big Jim's Floors. Jim also worked in carpet manufacturing at World Carpets, Coronet Carpets, Crusader Carpets, Galaxy, Diamond, and Blue Ridge Carpets, giving him extensive knowledge about carpet as a flooring option. This was approximately 80% of the flooring business 25 years ago. Today, these companies are working in sales of waterproof vinyl plank, solid and engineered wood, and tile. At Big Jim's Floors, we have seen the need to move with flooring trends and keep up with all the products and installation information to better serve our customers.

Jim retired from the flooring business in 2016 and passed away in December of 2020. Today, Big Jim's Floors is owned and operated by his son, Mark, who continues his father's vision of a family-oriented business with quality service. We know people like to buy, not be sold. Our team is dedicated to providing the best service possible to our customers. Mark Holsonback, the owner, carries on his father's vision of a family-oriented business with quality service. Hannah Holsonback, the secretary, is always ready to help with any questions or concerns you may have. Shaun Simmons and Landen Siniard, our salesmen, are knowledgeable about all of our products and can help you find the perfect fit for your home. Amanda Weaver, our accountant, ensures that all of our financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.
