The Idaho Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (IAND) is a vibrant community of registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) and dietetic professionals dedicated to promoting optimal health and nutritional well-being throughout Idaho. For over 50 years, we have been inspiring and empowering individuals and communities to make informed food and nutrition choices.
Our Mission
Our mission is to accelerate improvements in health and well-being through food and nutrition by empowering the Idaho RDN and NDTR. We believe in:
- Empowering individuals: We support and guide individuals in making informed dietary decisions for improved health and wellness.
- Promoting public health: We advocate for policies and practices that support access to healthy food and address public health concerns.
- Elevating the profession: We champion the value of the dietetic profession through innovation, advocacy, and professional development opportunities.

What We Do

1. Public Outreach and Advocacy
- Promoting public awareness about nutrition-related issues
- Advocating for policies that support healthy eating and access to nutritious foods
- Contributing to food and nutrition research
