Where curiosity meets creativity, and every child has a voice
Welcome to Play. Learn. Grow., where we believe that every child is unique and capable of great things. We are a family-oriented educational community that engages and inspires children to discover their potential within an environment that promotes mutual respect, social responsibility, natural curiosity, and a love of learning. Our philosophy is centered on nurturing the whole child, creating a community where the heart of the child is as important as challenging the intellect. We believe that the community of the child, parent, and educator is the foundation of our school's success.
Our Approach
At Play. Learn. Grow., we focus on nurturing a love of learning by teaching children how to work, including organizing time and space, accepting responsibility for their own learning, taking appropriate risks, respecting the environment and the needs of others, and creating a democratic community. Success in reaching these goals is measured in a number of ways including teacher observations, self-correcting work, work plans, student self-evaluations, portfolios of written work, reports to parents and parent conferences.
Education
We offer a variety of programs that cater to different age groups, including Infants, Toddlers, Preschool, and School Age children. Our teachers recognize that each age group has unique developmental needs and design activities and experiences accordingly.
*Infants*: Our Infant program, Angie's Angels, recognizes that infants need a safe and loving environment where they can explore at their own pace. Our teachers carefully sequence activities from simple to complex, ensuring that each child can be successful.
*Toddlers*: Toddlers have a great sensitivity for language, spatial relationships, music, art, and social graces. Our toddler teachers construct activities and experiences that capitalize on all of these developmental needs.
*Preschool*: Children from three to six years old are so excited to learn. They consciously absorb knowledge as they sort and categorize their experiences in the world. Our preschool program provides an environment that is child-centered, promoting intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy development.
*School Age*: Serving Fremont & Parochial School Districts, each School Age classroom has a mix of children ages 6-12 years old. Our teachers engage their students in the learning process by teaching them how to organize and take ownership of their work, make choices, and pursue their interests. We encourage exposure to enriching activities and active play.
Health & Safety
Health & Safety extends into nearly all aspects of our child care facility and its day-to-day operations. Safety is at the forefront of our teacher's minds at all times. From the layout of the rooms and placement of desks to the materials used in craft making, safety is always a consideration. We believe that creating a safe environment will prevent unnecessary mishaps. All of our teachers are trained and certified in First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse and Communicable Disease through State Certified trainers. We also believe in serving healthy meals. Our program is a part of the Child and Adult Care Food Program, which ensures that your children receive nutritious meals.
Fun & Creativity
We believe that art, music, movement, language, and mathematics are essential components of a well-rounded education. Our programs incorporate these subjects, providing opportunities for children to express themselves, develop their creativity, and build important skills for school readiness.
*Art*: Art is a form of communication and expression, which makes it an ideal outlet for young children to use their imagination and develop their creativity.
*Music*: Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy.
*Movement*: Movement in children can help increase memory, perception, language, attention, emotion, and decision-making.
*Language*: Language supports your child's ability to communicate, express, and understand feelings. It also supports thinking and problem-solving, and developing and maintaining relationships.
*Mathematics*: Mathematics will help young children problem solve, measure and develop their own spatial awareness, and teach them how to use and understand shapes.
*Outdoor Play*: Outdoor play enables children to enjoy the natural environment and learn to seek out new experiences while developing their physical, social, and emotional skills.
