Welcome to the Home Builders Association of Southeast Texas, a professional non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting, protecting, and improving the building industry in Southeast Texas. Our members represent contractors, suppliers, lenders, utilities, and others whose primary interest is the advancement of the construction and remodeling industry.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the American Dream through an alliance of professional builders and vendors serving the Southeast Texas community by working to ensure the quality and affordability of housing today and for future generations. We strive to achieve this mission by providing our members with valuable resources, networking opportunities, and access to local, state, and national news and developments.

Our Services

• Advocacy: We actively monitor local, state, and national legislative and regulatory changes that affect the residential construction industry, ensuring that your business interests are protected and promoted.
• Networking: We provide numerous opportunities for members to meet and network with others in the building industry through training seminars, general membership meetings, fundraisers, and other events.
• Communication: We publish a monthly newsletter containing local, state, and national news to keep our members informed and up-to-date on the latest developments in the industry.
• Education: We offer training and educational programs to help our members stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Our Team

Our team is dedicated to supporting our members and advancing the interests of the building industry in Southeast Texas. Our Executive Director, Dana Cook, is responsible for the overall administration and operations of the association, and works closely with the Board of Directors to ensure that our mission and objectives are achieved.

Our History

The Home Builders Association of Southeast Texas was chartered in 1963, and has been serving the construction and remodeling industry in Southeast Texas for over 50 years. We are proud of our heritage and our commitment to promoting the interests of our members and the industry as a whole.
