The Kake Korner is a bakery located in the heart of historic Laurel, Maryland. For over fifty years, we have been a part of local celebrations, providing our customers with the most delicious and beautifully designed cakes and cupcakes.
Our bakery is run by Diane White, also known as "The Cake Lady." Diane is a single mother who initially started her business by filling orders from her home kitchen. As her demand grew, she purchased a small shop in Laurel, which has since become the Kake Korner. Diane has spent years perfecting her cake and icing recipes, using simple ingredients combined with secret ingredients that make her creations truly unique.
Our team is made up of talented individuals who are passionate about creating the perfect cakes and cupcakes for any occasion. Jessica, Diane's daughter, has been around cakes all her life and is involved in all aspects of the business. Loretta, or "Ret, " has been with the company for over 18 years and is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the business. She is always ready to help with a cheerful attitude. Barbara, a talented cake designer, has been with Kake Korner for over seven years and is trained as a chef. Patti, who has been with the company since 2010, is responsible for creating content for our social media and website. Jennifer, our new decorator, comes from a culinary school background at the CIA in New York and is showing great promise for the future. Kelsey is growing and learning every day, doing wonderful things. Jerol is our new front-end person, providing excellent customer service with lots of experience in sales and marketing.
We offer a variety of services, including custom cake and cupcake orders, delivery, and cake design. We understand that every occasion is unique, and we are eager to work with you to create the perfect cake or cupcakes for your event.
