Your Trusted Voice in Florida Home Care Advocacy
Founded in 1989, the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) has served as the leading voice for home health care providers across the state. As a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization, we dedicate ourselves to empowering home health care providers through comprehensive resources, educational programs, and robust advocacy efforts. Our membership includes a diverse array of for-profit and not-for-profit agencies delivering Medicare-, Medicaid-, and private pay-funded services, alongside Associate members offering essential industry products and services. Over the past 35 years, we have organized approximately 75 continuing education and professional development programs annually, including our flagship HomeCareCon conference, recognized as Florida's premier home care industry event. Our public policy team collaborates year-round with Continental Strategy to advance member interests at state and federal levels, maintaining strong relationships with regulatory agencies like Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

We provide tailored training opportunities such as the Home Care Warm Up for Medicare providers and the Private Care Symposium for private pay providers, ensuring all members receive relevant, high-quality education. Our mobile-friendly learning platform, HomeCareLearn.com, offers over 450 continuing education units (CEUs) with automatic reporting to CE Broker, many available at no cost. Through biannual Home Care Connections events held in all 11 healthcare regions, we facilitate networking and knowledge sharing among professionals. Our guiding principles emphasize member-focused support, excellence in best practices, integrity, and a unified industry approach to ensure high-quality, cost-effective home care services for Florida residents.
