At Marcus Sophia Winery, our passion is to craft exceptional wines that showcase the unique terroir of Washington State. With nearly 20 years of experience as a personal chef, our winemaker, Leala Cramer, has a deep appreciation for the freshest ingredients and the art of pairing wine with cuisine. This passion led her to pursue her dream of crafting her own wine, and she has since received her Professional Enology Certification from Washington State University.
Our Story
Our winery is named after Leala's son, Marcus, and Sophia, which means "female wisdom" in ancient Greek. The two names combined represent the beautiful balance we strive to achieve in our wines. We rely on the skilled farmers of the Pacific Northwest to provide us with the highest-quality grapes, which we carefully craft into wines that showcase the region's unique characteristics.
