ADS, a locally owned and independently operated driving school, has been serving the Farmington Valley's driver education and training needs since 1991. With a success rate of well over 90%, Avon Driving School stands out as one of the area's leading programs, offering a variety of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

We strive to not only teach the rules of the road, but also to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness in our students, preparing them for a lifetime of safe driving.

Flexible Schedules and Exceptional Instructors

Our flexible schedules for individual on-road driving lessons and our classroom curriculum allow students to not only customize their schedules, but receive an invaluable education focusing on safety and defensive driving. Led by our highly trained professional instructors, Avon Driving School provides a comfortable learning environment that facilitates dynamic interaction between staff and students. Our instructors are dedicated to providing each student with personalized attention, ensuring that they have the skills and confidence necessary to become safe and responsible drivers.

Our Programs

ADS offers a variety of programs to meet the unique needs of our students. Our Full Program includes 30 hours of classroom training and 8 hours of on-road training. The classroom training covers the CT State Mandated 8-Hour Drug & Alcohol / Safety Program and 2-Hour "Parent's Class". This program enables student eligibility for obtaining their driver's license after holding their learner's permit for 120 days and may qualify for an insurance discount (please check with your carrier).

We understand that life can be busy, which is why we are proud to offer online classroom training through Zoom. Students can complete the 30 hours of classroom training from the comfort of their own home. Parents of teenage drivers are required to attend the 2-Hour "Parent's Class" either by joining Zoom via their own device or by sitting with their teen for the meet. Students over 18 do not need a parent in attendance.
