At the American Academy of Martial Arts, our mission is to enrich the lives of the youth in the Toledo area by teaching them valuable life skills such as hard work, self-esteem, and discipline through the martial arts of Akido, Ju Jitsu, and Judo. We understand the importance of fostering a positive community and providing opportunities for young people to thrive.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to promote the martial arts to the youth of Toledo and surrounding areas, with a special focus on the disadvantaged and underprivileged. Our program is designed to keep at-risk youth off the streets and engaged in a positive and productive activity. Through our program, we aim to teach self-confidence and self-discipline, which will benefit our students for the rest of their lives.

We offer a range of services, including:

Judo

Our Judo program is designed to teach young people the Olympic sport of Judo, promoting physical fitness, self-discipline, and respect. Our experienced coaches and instructors will guide students through the art of Judo, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.

Ju Jitsu

Our Ju Jitsu program is designed to teach students the art of self-defense, helping them to develop physical fitness, discipline, and confidence. Our qualified instructors will guide students through the techniques and principles of Ju Jitsu, helping them to become proficient in self-defense.

Self Defense

Our Self Defense program is designed to teach students the skills and confidence to protect themselves in any situation. Our experienced instructors will guide students through the techniques and principles of self-defense, helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
