Our Story

R.S. Scott Associates was founded in 1946 by Professional Engineer and Licensed Surveyor, Robert S. Scott. Since then, the company has grown to become a reputable professional services firm, providing high-quality solutions to clients across Michigan and beyond. Our mission is to provide exceptional services to our clients, while fostering the development of our employees' careers and the professions of engineering, surveying, and architecture. For over 70 years, we have built a solid reputation for excellence, serving clients locally and in most of Michigan's 83 counties.

Our Services

At R.S. Scott Associates, we offer a wide range of services to cater to the diverse needs of our clients. Our Civil Engineering services include road designs, pavement designs, bridge designs, bridge inspections, feasibility studies, site planning, and analysis, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and structural designs. We also provide construction engineering services, including site planning, site selection, feasibility studies, and structural analysis. Our experienced professionals coordinate our work with other professionals such as mechanical and electrical engineers and landscape architects on a subcontract basis.

Our Architecture services include master planning, site evaluation, conceptual studies, and reports, feasibility studies, architectural design, construction documents, interior design, and site development. We take pride in our ability to deliver high-quality designs that meet our clients' specific needs and expectations.

We have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional services to our clients, while fostering the development of our employees' careers and the professions of engineering, surveying, and architecture.
