With over 100 years of experience, we've built a portfolio of 41 communities with over 13,000 apartment homes centered in the suburbs of Cleveland, OH, Nashville, TN, Huntsville, AL, and the suburbs of Charlotte in both North and South Carolina.
Our Story
As a family-owned business, our story began in 1916, when Isadore Gross began building homes in Ohio. Today, brothers Gary and Harley carry on the tradition passed on to them by their father Morton Gross. With a commitment to the future, Gary's daughter, Sarah, and Harley's son Aaron, are taking leadership roles in the company, representing the fourth generation of the growing company.

Rent and Maintenance Issues
Multiple reviewers have mentioned issues with rent increases, lack of maintenance, and unresponsive property managers. One reviewer mentioned a rent increase of $90, which they felt was unreasonable given the age and condition of their apartment. Another reviewer mentioned that their washer machine had been broken for almost 5 months, and despite bringing it to the attention of the property manager and her boss, the issue remained unresolved.
Poor Customer Service
Several reviewers mentioned poor customer service, including unreturned calls, ignored requests, and unhelpful property managers. One reviewer mentioned that they were told their application was rejected, but never received a refund, and calls to the regional manager went unreturned. Another reviewer mentioned that they were harassed by the apartment complex, and that the management company was unresponsive to their concerns.
Maintenance and Repair Issues
Reviewers mentioned various maintenance and repair issues, including a water leak in the bedroom ceiling, black mold in the apartment, and lack of response to emergency maintenance calls. One reviewer mentioned that they had to move out of their apartment due to black mold, which caused them severe health issues, including asthma.
