The Perry County Waste Reduction & Recycling office plays a pivotal role in fostering environmental responsibility and sustainability within our community. Located at 2231 State Route 13 in New Lexington, we are committed to empowering residents to make informed choices that minimize waste and protect our natural resources.

Our Team

Led by Director Matt Reed, our dedicated team includes Mike Phillips, Litter Crew Supervisor, and Hallie Clark, Education Specialist. Together, we are passionate about fostering a culture of responsible waste management through education, outreach, and practical solutions.

Our History and Goals

Established in 1990, the Perry County Waste Reduction & Recycling program has a long-standing history of empowering individuals and communities to take action. Over the years, we have strived to:

• Educate residents about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.
• Enforce local litter and illegal dumping laws.
• Maintain and expand our litter crew to address illegal dumpsites.
• Provide practical alternatives to harmful disposal habits.
