Alexander Valley Healthcare

Alexander Valley Healthcare is a comprehensive healthcare provider serving the communities of Northern Sonoma and Southern Mendocino Counties. Our mission is to deliver patient-centered care to ensure the health and wellness of our residents. We offer a range of services including family medicine, general dentistry, and behavioral health care, with same-day access available for urgent needs. Our staff of primary care providers, including family practice physicians and nurse practitioners, offers comprehensive services for patients of all ages. Additionally, our dental clinic provides dental care for children and adults, and our behavioral health team works closely with medical and dental providers to address the entire individual's health.

Our Services

We accept Medicare, Medi-Cal, and most private insurance, with some patients qualifying for a sliding fee discount program. Our Wellness Center is currently under construction and will offer a variety of programs and services aimed at promoting overall health and wellness. Our commitment to community health is reflected in our ongoing efforts to improve access to healthcare in rural areas. We are dedicated to providing high-quality medical care, behavioral health programs, and general dentistry to support the health and wellness of our community.

Leadership Team

Our leadership team is comprised of experienced professionals dedicated to ensuring the success of our mission. Deborah Howell serves as our Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the overall direction of the organization. Dr. Jing Zhao, our Chief Medical Officer, leads our medical services, while Jenine Saunders, Chief Financial Officer, manages our financial operations. Samantha Guthman, Chief Operations Officer, is responsible for the day-to-day operations, and Erika Werelius-Laniohan, Director of Human Resources, oversees our HR functions. Elizabeth Pile, Director of Clinical Services, ensures the quality of our clinical programs, and Kevin Garvin, Dental Director, leads our dental services. Kirsten Tellez, Director of Development, focuses on fundraising and community outreach, and Anne Hilow, Sr. Project Director, oversees our major projects. Patrick Richards, our Controller, manages our financial and administrative functions.
