Our Story
Founded by Charlie Genin and Robert Daigle, our company started as a speculative home builder in the heart of Lafayette, LA. Over the years, we have expanded our services to offer custom home building, commercial construction, and home or business renovations. We take pride in our communities and work closely with local tradesmen to support jobs and economic growth close to home.
Meet Our Owners
Charlie Genin, Owner
Charlie has called Acadiana home for most of his life. He earned his undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the same institution. Charlie gained valuable experience in the oilfield as a financial analyst, which gave him a solid foundation for starting The Gen Group Construction. Charlie prides himself on being hands-on on job sites and being present for his family and team.
Robert Daigle, Owner
For over two decades, Robert has been successful with land development in the Gulf South and other regions in Louisiana and Mississippi. He has created mixed-use and traditional neighborhood developments and is very aware of the quality construction that it takes to see communities thrive. When Charlie and Robert brought their families together, they saw an opportunity to pursue their passions: building homes that ensure the success of the communities they serve.
