Robert Norgaard is a licensed marriage and family therapist, a certified EMDR clinician, and a certified accountability life coach. He holds a Master of Arts in Social Clinical Psychology from The New College of California and has over 15 years of experience in private practice. Robert's clinical work has focused on complex trauma, PTSD, relational trauma, attachment difficulties, life transitions, and the process of finding identity and individuation. He is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and uses this powerful tool in his practice to help clients with a wide range of issues.

Robert provides EMDR therapy, which is an effective treatment for PTSD, phobias, eating disorders, substance use relapse prevention, and other mental health issues. He is a certified EMDR clinician, certified by Emdria International and a member of the Parnell Institute for EMDR.

Robert also offers accountability life coaching services to help clients achieve their personal and professional goals. Robert Norgaard has over 15 years of experience in private practice. He holds a Master of Arts in Social Clinical Psychology from The New College of California and is a certified EMDR clinician, certified by Emdria International, and a member of the Parnell Institute for EMDR. Robert is also a certified accountability life coach. He earned a Bachelor of Art degree with a focus on Art History with an emphasis on Art and Architecture. He spent many years working in the Fine Art Auction world before returning to school to study clinical psychology.

Robert opened his private practice in San Francisco in 2005. In 2020, he returned to Southern California after 30 + years in San Francisco. He now resides in the Palm Springs area. Robert's clinical work has focused on complex trauma, PTSD, relational trauma, attachment difficulties, life transitions, and the process of finding identity and individuation. Robert is committed to providing compassionate and evidence-based therapy to help clients achieve their goals.
