At Good News Community Health Center, we are a non-profit faith- and community-based health center serving our neighbors in Rockwood and East Multnomah County. Our mission is to provide excellent physical, mental, and spiritual care to the underserved with the love of Christ. We believe that every individual deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Our Story
Our journey began over 15 years ago when Dr. Bob Sayson and his wife, Alice, felt called to serve permanently as medical missionaries. After serving at a medical day clinic event in the Rockwood neighborhood, Bob was struck by the crowd of people seeking access to simple medical care from which they were otherwise cut off. Impressed by the need, Bob and Alice resolved to leave their practice and volunteer their time and service to see Rockwood redeemed. With the help of a generous donor, the Good News Clinic was born, and since its opening in 2007, we have served over 20,000 patients, providing physical, mental, and spiritual care to our neighbors.

Inefficiencies and Misdiagnosis
However, one reviewer had a negative experience due to misdiagnosis. They were prescribed medication for hypothyroidism, but later discovered through other medical professionals that they did not actually have the condition. Another reviewer experienced frustration with the clinic's handling of their UTI treatment and prescription.
Mixed Feedback
A few reviewers mentioned that they had mixed feelings about their experience. One reviewer felt that they were not treated with the compassion and understanding they had hoped for, despite being completely honest with their doctor. Another reviewer was confused about the outcome of their visit and felt that their medication needs were not fully addressed.
Overall
Good News Clinic seems to have a positive reputation for providing compassionate and professional care to its patients. However, there appears to be some room for improvement regarding communication and medication management.
