At Summit Martial Arts, we are dedicated to providing a traditional, non-competitive, and safe environment for martial arts training. With over 30 years of experience, we have established ourselves as a renowned institution in Delaware, Ohio, and beyond. Our mission is to empower and equip individuals of all ages and backgrounds to reach their full potential, both physically and mentally.

Our Story

Summit Martial Arts was founded by Kyoshi Riedmiller, a veteran martial artist with over 47 years of experience. Kyoshi Riedmiller began his martial arts journey at the age of 13 and has since studied various martial art forms, including Goju Ryu Karate, Judo, Olympic Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, White Crane Kung Fu, Chen Tai Chi, Japanese Jujitsu, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. With a passion for martial arts, Kyoshi Riedmiller has achieved expert levels in multiple disciplines and has competed in numerous tournaments, earning the title of State and National Karate Champion.

Our Programs

We offer a variety of programs, including:

• Matsumura Shorin Ryu Karate, the oldest form of karate, with its origins in Okinawa, Japan
• Okinawan Karate and Kobudo for kids and teens
• Gracie/Sauer Jiujitsu, in affiliation with Pedro Sauer
• Junior BJJ classes for 9-14-year-olds
• Kids and teen karate classes

Our Facilities

We are proud to operate out of a world-class, fully padded 6,500 sq ft training facility, equipped with heavy bags, breakfall mats, a complete line of traditional karate weaponry, and specialized training equipment. Our facility is designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our students to train and learn.
