Johnston Land Surveying

Johnston Land Surveying has been serving the Olympic Peninsula since 2004. Our team is led by Rob Johnston, PLS, who began surveying in 1976 and has been working on the Olympic Peninsula since 1998. Rob is a member of the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping and the National Society of Professional Surveyors. He has also completed his third term as President and Scholarship Committee Chair of the North Olympic Chapter of the Land Surveyors' Association of Washington.

Rob is joined by Renee Johnston, CFO, who brings over 25 years of experience in finance. Renee is our Chief Financial Officer and helps keep the office running smoothly. We are fully insured and carry Automobile Liability, General Liability, and Professional Liability insurance. We require everything in writing, providing written Contracts and Proposals.

Johnston Land Surveying is committed to being a leader in Boundary Surveying and Mapping. We strive to portray and exhibit a professional image, elevate the public's perception of a Land Surveyor, and positively impact the surveying profession. We aim to consistently meet our client's needs in a timely manner, conforming to State law as outlined in the Revised Code of Washington and the Washington Administrative Code.

Our Goal

Our goal is to provide our clients with a quality product and superior service, on-time and within budget. We take pride in using state-of-the-art technology, including a TOPCON 9001A 1-second Robotic Total Station, TOPCON FC2500 Data Collector, STARNET Least Squares Survey Adjustment Program, Autodesk Land Desktop 2005, and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009. We also utilize Global Positioning System data gathered using a TOPCON GRS-1 Network Rover via the Washington State Reference Network. This system provides us the flexibility to use either Real Time Kinematics or Static GPS observations.
