BICO Machine and Tool was founded by Harold Keller at his home in Philipsburg, PA in the 1970s. Since then, BICO has built a reputation for quality custom-machined components and premium customer service as it grew in both size and capability. In March of 2010, BICO transitioned to new ownership and continued to progress in today's manufacturing market. In early 2011, it became evident that BICO would require a new, larger facility where all aspects of production could exist under one roof. This search resulted in our move in February of 2012 to a new facility in Marianna, PA, in southern Washington County. This location is within 5 miles of Interstate 79 and places us within 35 miles of Pittsburgh, Morgantown, Wheeling, and Uniontown. The focus on quality parts and commitment to premium customer service remains. We have added a commitment to process control and quality certification from our extensive experience in the implantable medical device industry.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services including precision machining of metals and plastics, laser and mechanical engraving, flat and rotary capabilities, complete inspection capabilities, and experience with FMEA/PFMEA, first article layouts, and process validation. Our equipment includes CNC milling, CNC turning, CAD/CAM capabilities, manual mills and lathes, horizontal and vertical bandsaws, cold saw, surface grinder, Sunnen hone, CO2 laser engraver with rotary capabilities, mechanical engraver with rotary capabilities, vibratory finishers, polisher, ultrasonic cleaner, CMM with CMM Manager software, laser micrometer, measuring microscope, optical comparator, granite surface plate, visual microscope, and indicating micrometer. We also have experience machining a variety of materials including Acetal, Ultem, Teflon, Noryl, Radel, PVC, FR-4, Epoxy Laminate, Aluminum, Brass, Graphite, Steel, Tool Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Cobalt Chrome, and Permalloy (nickel alloy). Additionally, we offer engraving and finishing capabilities, including passivation, plating, anodizing, and coating.
