Sea Star Swim School

At Sea Star Swim School, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality aquatic education to individuals of all ages and skill levels. With over 26 years of experience, our owners, Ron and Mary Chlasta, have developed a systematic approach to teaching swimming that focuses on building one skill on top of another to create the complete swimmer.

Our Philosophy

Our core values for aquatic education include teaching individuals to swim for survival, competency, recreation, and exercise. We believe that learning to swim should be an exciting and positive accomplishment for any child or adult. Our lessons are tailored to fit the special needs and skills of each student, ensuring that everyone learns at their own pace.

Our Expertise

Our instructors are highly trained and experienced in teaching swimming to individuals of all ages and skill levels. Ron Chlasta, our co-owner, was voted the US Swim Schools Association's (USSSA) Outstanding Swim Teacher of the Year for two consecutive years, 1996 and 1997. He also served a three-year term on the USSSA Board of Directors. Mary Chlasta, our co-owner, is an elementary school teacher, credentialed in both California and Tennessee, and has taught swimming for over 15 years.
