The story of Michael's Deli began in 1977 when the late Michael Sobelman had a vision to create a deli that would serve the freshest, most delicious traditional deli sandwiches just the way customers like them. Word quickly spread about the outstanding homemade corned beef, pastrami, roast beef, brisket, and salads, transforming Michael's Deli into a popular destination for those who appreciate fine, authentic deli fare.

In 2002, the deli found a new home on Harvard Street in Brookline, promising the same high-quality food and exceptional service customers had come to expect. Today, Michael has entrusted the continued success of his deli to Steven Peljovich, who brings over 20 years of experience in the restaurant business. Steven, a dedicated family man, has embraced the deli's mission of delighting customers and giving back to the community, becoming an active supporter of charities like the American Cancer Society, Shawn Thornton Foundation, Greg Hill Foundation, and Martin Richard Foundation.
