Tequila Johns has been serving authentic Mexican cuisine since its founding in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1992. We relocated our operations to Waverly, Tennessee in 2008 and recently expanded to our new location on US 70 in New Johnsonville. Our commitment to quality ingredients and traditional preparation methods ensures every dish reflects the rich flavors of Mexico. Chef John S. Reveles, a New Mexico native with formal culinary training from PUCMM University, leads our kitchen operations with over two decades of restaurant experience. We offer a comprehensive dining experience featuring dine-in, take-out, and catering services with a full bar specializing in Mexican beers, tequilas, and margaritas. Our community involvement includes partnerships with organizations like United Way, Waverly High School Band, and the American Cancer Society.

The restaurant's success stems from the collaborative efforts of John and his wife Yonaira Hernandez, who together manage all aspects of the business. Our menu features both classic and innovative Mexican dishes, complemented by customizable catering options for special events. We maintain strict quality standards across all service formats, including our popular off-site catering that accommodates unique client preferences. Our operating hours provide six days of weekly access to our culinary offerings, with extended Friday and Saturday evening hours to accommodate special occasions.
