Since 1977 and 1986, Ocean Adventure Programs and Erik Nelsen Surf Camps have instilled safety, education, integrity, and structure into their curriculum. We are proud to offer a variety of programs that give children the opportunity to develop a lifelong love for the beach and ocean.

Our professional and experienced staff are committed to providing a fun and educational experience for our campers. Our programs are carefully designed to ensure that every child feels safe, supported, and engaged. Our instructors are First Aid and CPR certified, and we maintain excellent instructor-to-student ratios to ensure personalized attention and supervision.

Our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where children can develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the ocean and its importance. We strive to inspire a love for the beach and ocean in our campers, while also teaching them valuable life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

Our Programs

We offer a range of programs that cater to different interests and age groups. Our Co-Ed Surf Camps provide a fun and challenging experience for kids of all skill levels, while our All-Girls Surf Camps offer a unique and empowering experience for girls. Our Ocean Adventure Program is a science-based program that teaches children about the ocean and its importance, and our 15th Street Beach & Bay Sports program offers a variety of water sports and activities.

Our Team

Our leadership team is comprised of experienced professionals who are passionate about their work. Our founder, Erik Nelsen, has been running surf camps for over 35 years and has taught over 10,000 students how to surf safely and with confidence. Our Director, Jeff Nelsen, is a veteran educator with a passion for ocean science and education. Our Marketing Director, Cami Guild, is a highly qualified individual with a Master's degree and a background in marketing and education.
