Our Story

Haak Winery's rich history dates back to 1969 when Raymond and Gladys Haak gifted each other with two Concord grapevines on their 10th wedding anniversary. This humble beginning marked the start of a lifelong passion for winemaking. Over the years, the Haak family has perfected their craft, experimenting with various grape varieties to find the perfect blend. Today, Haak Winery is proud to be one of the most awarded wineries in Texas, with over 570 medals since 2001.

History of Madeira

Inspired by the rich heritage of Madeira wine, Haak Winery embarked on a journey to create its own Texas Madeira. Our winemaker, Raymond Haak, spent two years researching the complexities of this rare and exquisite wine. With the help of experts from the island of Madeira, Portugal, we created a unique blend that has captured the hearts of wine connoisseurs worldwide.
