About Us

Our practice was founded by Dr. Kayvan Keyhani, MPH, FACS, a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in small incision cataract surgery and eyelid plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Keyhani is an assistant clinical professor of ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he teaches residents both cataract surgery and oculoplastic surgery.

Dr. Keyhani is a three-time award winner of the prestigious residents teaching award given to the most outstanding surgical professor. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a graduate of the Ohio State University, where he received his bachelor of science degree cum laude. Dr. Keyhani went on to medical school at the Ohio State University, followed by his Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, ranked in the top ten best hospitals for disorders of the eye, ear, nose, and throat. Dr. Keyhani then went on to complete two fellowships in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Vermont and the University of Calgary.

Dr. Keyhani has a passion for traveling abroad and doing medical missions. He has been to the Philippines and Haiti several times and has been doing volunteer surgeries, mainly for children, in San Pedro Sula since 2018. He currently resides in Rye, New York, with his wife, two children, and two golden doodles.
