Our Mission

The Idaho Psychological Association (IPA) exists to advance psychology in Idaho. We are a non-profit organization comprised of mental health professionals and students dedicated to promoting mental well-being, fostering competent practice, and elevating the public's understanding of psychology.

Who We Are

IPA boasts over 500 members across the state of Idaho, including psychologists, counselors, researchers, and students. We are committed to:

  • Promoting public understanding: We advocate for accessible and quality mental healthcare, and raise awareness about mental health issues through public outreach and education.
  • Providing support: We offer professional development opportunities, networking events, and resources to enhance the skills and knowledge of our members.
  • Advancing the profession: We advocate for legislation that supports ethical and accessible mental healthcare, and collaborate with other organizations to strengthen the psychological community.
