California Spine Diagnostic

At the California Spine Diagnostics Medical Group, we understand the pain and discomfort that can come with chronic back and neck pain. With over thirty years of experience, our medical director, Dr. Conor O'Neill, specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of these conditions. Our clinic offers a variety of non-surgical medical treatments, including diagnostic and therapeutic spine injections, interventional pain management, and minimally invasive spine procedures.

Dr. O'Neill combines a careful clinical evaluation, spine imaging, and advanced precision diagnostic injections to accurately diagnose spine disorders. He then works closely with patients and their physicians to define treatment options, which may include physical therapy, exercise, chiropractic care, acupuncture, medications, and surgery. Dr. O'Neill has performed over 50,000 back and neck interventional procedures and has contributed to more than one-hundred articles and presentations.

In January 2016, Dr. O'Neill joined the Spine Center at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics and leads the non-operative spine program. He is based at the UCSF Spine Center at the UCSF Parnassus campus.

Dr. O'Neill is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Pain Management. He sits on scientific and editorial boards and is an active researcher in the field of spine care.

Our Locations

We have two clinic locations to serve you better. Our main clinic is located in San Francisco at the UCSF Helen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights, Department of Orthopaedics. Our second clinic is located in Sacramento at the Northern California Spine Rehabilitation Center (NCSRA). Both locations offer a full range of non-surgical treatments for chronic back and neck pain.
