Our Story

THE INTERIOR DESIGN GROUP LTD. has provided unparalleled design service that focuses on developing partnerships. We pride ourselves on collaborating with clients to develop stunning and functional spaces that exceed their expectations. Our team of dedicated professionals bring an easy to work with, hands-on approach to every project. Over 35 years of experience has made us a trusted name in the industry.

Our journey began in 1985 when our founder, Timothy R. Lies, started the company as a one-man shop in Wheaton, IL. Over the years, we have grown and expanded, moving our offices to Glen Ellyn, IL in 1987, then to Oak Brook, IL in 1992. In 2001, we acquired a building, remodeled it, and relocated back to Glen Ellyn, IL. In 2018, we rebranded and moved to our current location in Lisle, IL. Throughout our growth, we have remained committed to providing exceptional design services and building lasting relationships with our clients.
