Our story began in 1919 when Phillip Levinsky started selling surplus military clothing from his barn in Portland. His son, Jacob, joined the business soon after and opened the first Levinsky's store in 1919 on Congress Street. The store's success endured through the Great Depression and World War II, emerging as Portland's leading military surplus merchant.

Over time, we expanded our product line to include a wide range of clothing for men and women. The 1960s saw a significant shift towards casual wear, and we adapted by offering army fatigues, jackets, and painter's pants, which became extremely popular. Today, our store is located on Route 302 in Windham and continues to thrive by providing the best brands at unbeatable prices.
