Montessori Community School

At Montessori Community School LLC, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe environment for children to learn and grow. Our childcare center in Newark, OH offers a range of programs, including infant care, toddler care, preschool, kindergarten, and before and after school programs. We believe in working closely with parents to provide a comprehensive learning experience for children, and we offer several opportunities for participation throughout the year.

Our classrooms are designed to provide a print-rich environment where children can learn from varied materials and play in a structured setting. We focus on preparing children for kindergarten by assessing them in a wide range of important skills, including socialization, independence, and resourcefulness. Our state-licensed preschool and kindergarten programs provide a solid foundation for future academic success.

Our before and after school care program is designed to provide a convenient and safe option for parents who need extended care for their children. We have a bus on-site that transports children to and from local elementary schools, making it easy for parents to drop off and pick up their children.

Our History

Montessori Community School was founded by Helen Moore in 1973 as a Montessori school. Over the years, the school has evolved to include more center activities, STEM activities, and small group learning. In July 2017, Miss Beth purchased the school and formed Montessori Community School LLC. With over 28 years of experience at the school, Miss Beth is committed to providing a high-quality learning environment for children.

Our Team

Our team is led by Beth Wells, the owner and administrator of Montessori Community School LLC. Beth has been employed at the school for 28 years and has worked in every classroom. She is dedicated to providing a nurturing and safe environment for children and is very involved in all aspects of the school, from planning menus to reading to classrooms. Beth has her CDA based in preschool and is continuing her education in early childhood.
