Our Story

Our funeral home was founded in 1951 by Marion H. Nelson, and has remained family-owned and operated for four generations. Our story began when Jack Stephenson married Ruth Nelson and started the funeral home business with her son, Marion H. Nelson. Marion and Helen Nelson were married and have been actively involved in the business until Marion's death in 1991. Mrs. Nelson continued to be active in the business until her death in 2022. Today, our funeral home is led by Barrett Nelson, who is the Funeral Director in charge of both funeral homes in Lake Wales and Frostproof.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of funeral services to meet the unique needs of each family. Our services include traditional funerals, cremations, memorial services, and pre-planning. We also provide free webcasting and recorded podcasts of funeral services for families who cannot attend in person. Additionally, we offer a variety of merchandise, including caskets, urns, and monuments, to help families personalize their loved one's service.
