Laxton's Florist, a seventh-generation family farm and greenhouse business, has been growing in Skaneateles since 1847. Our mission is to offer the community a wide selection of locally grown plants, garden flowers, and the freshest organically produced vegetables possible. We pride ourselves on achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.

Our Services

We offer a variety of services including the sale of mulch, services for cemetery urns, and the production of vegetables for sale at the Farmer's Market and our roadside stands. Our Lakeside Food & Flowers program for 2018 includes options for plants, mulch, garden flowers, and a large selection of healthy organically produced vegetables and herbs. Subscribers can select and pick up their items on Wednesday and Friday afternoons at the greenhouse or any time on the West Lake roadside stand. Additionally, we offer delivery for a nominal fee and encourage recycling by offering a discount on hanging baskets or planters with the trade-in of an old container.

Our Commitment

We are committed to protecting water quality and supporting local agriculture. A portion of our proceeds is donated to the Skaneateles Lake Association, and we also offer the option to donate some of your coupons to needy families through local food pantries. Our goal is to ensure that all community residents have access to fresh, safe, and locally grown vegetables.
