Our History

It all started in 1987 when David L. Spader, our President, began his journey in the trucking business as an independent owner/operator. Soon, his brother Steven joined the company, and together they incorporated Spader Freight Carriers, Inc. in 1990. Over the years, the company grew, and by 1995, we had expanded to 33 trucks, all leased to other authorized carriers. We obtained ICC operating authority in July of that year and officially became Spader Freight Services, Inc.

Our Growth and Services

Today, we've grown to a fleet of 85 trucks with over 100 drivers on our team. Our services include regional routes, brokering, contract carriage, warehousing and distribution, logistics, and truck and trailer repair. We're proud of our ability to offer a vast array of services from warehousing to heavy equipment repair, all under one roof.

At Spader Freight Services, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a minimum weekly guarantee of $1,100, plus miles paid at $.60 or more depending on experience. We also offer a $1,500 signing bonus, substantial bonuses every 90 days, and no cap on pay. Plus, we ensure that every driver gets to spend quality time with their family every weekend.
