Greco Jewelers, a family-owned and operated business, has been serving the community for over 72 years. The story of Greco Jewelers began in 1947 when Joseph Greco, a Marine Corps veteran, opened a small one-room store next to the old firehouse in Lyons, NY. Joe specialized in home goods, jewelry, and watches, and his store was known for its famous slogan, "The Little Store with Big Value."

Joe was an instrument repair specialist in the Marine Corps from 1942 to 1946, based in Pearl Harbor. He carried this skill with him as he started his business, becoming one of the best watchmakers in New York State. Joe was the last of the New York Central watch inspectors in the area and even worked on the first Bulova watch to go up in the Apollo Space Shuttle.

In 1979, Joanne, Joe's daughter, joined the business after completing trade school. She opened a trade shop at Greco's that provided services for eight other local jewelry stores. These stores sent their repairs to Greco Jewelers. In 1983, Greco Jewelers moved across the street to 8 Canal Street, offering jewelry, watches, repairs, and custom designing for jewelry.

Joe Greco passed away in 2015, but his legacy lives on through his daughter Joanne, who currently owns and operates the business. Joanne's daughter, Javana, has also joined the business and is being trained to carry on the Greco Jewelry legacy.
