At Johnson Creek Hardwoods, we are a family-owned and operated business that has been dedicated to producing high-quality lumber for over 30 years. Our journey began in 1996, when a devastating thunderstorm ravaged our hardwood forest. In the following spring, we purchased a sawmill to utilize the damaged timber. What started as a small operation grew into a thriving business, with a commitment to sustainable forestry and a passion for crafting exquisite lumber.

Our Philosophy

We take the time to analyze every log to determine what products can be obtained, and we carefully process each piece to ensure the highest quality. From trimming knots and splits to carefully kiln-drying the wood, we go above and beyond to provide our customers with exceptional lumber.

Our Process

Our process begins with the careful selection of logs from our own forests and those of our partners. We then utilize our state-of-the-art sawmill to process the logs into high-quality lumber. We take the time to grade-saw many short logs, and we sell our FAS (firsts and seconds) short boards at a discount. Logs with solid crotches are frequently slabbed for coffee tables or book-matched for dining room sizes.
