Norred Fire Systems

Norred Fire Systems, LLC was founded in 2001 by Clayton J. Norred, Jr. in West Monroe, Louisiana. The company's journey in the fire protection industry began much earlier, in 1981, when Clayton started a small fire extinguisher service business, The Fire Station, Inc. Over the years, the business expanded and evolved, changing its name to Fire-Quip Corporation in 1993 to reflect the broad scope of services provided. Fire-Quip expanded to three locations, Monroe, Ruston, and Shreveport, Louisiana, and was the dominant fire equipment service company in northern Louisiana. In 1999, Fire-Quip Corporation was sold to Grinnell Fire Protection (Tyco), and Clayton worked as District General Manager until his noncompete expired. With the support of customers and employees, Norred re-entered the market with his new company, Norred Fire Systems, LLC, in 2001. Today, Norred Fire Systems is a full-service fire protection company, offering a range of services including fire extinguishers, fire alarms, fire sprinklers, and fire suppression systems for vehicles, commercial kitchens, and industrial applications. The company has received several awards for its outstanding services, including the Rivertown Award of Excellence by the Monroe and West Monroe Chambers of Commerce in 2003. Clayton Norred has also served as President of the National Association of Fire Equipment Distributors (NAFED) and currently serves on the board of directors of the Louisiana Chapter of the American Fire Sprinkler Association and the NFPA 25 fire sprinkler committee. Norred Fire Systems gives preference to any veteran of the United States military when applying for employment, as a token of appreciation for their service.
