Hill and Son Excavating LLC was founded by the owners, Dick and Sheila Hill, in 1977. Dick started out as an owner/operator and helped to rebuild Rexburg and surrounding areas after the Teton Dam broke and devastated the area. Over the past 40 years, Dick has hired and trained employees as he has built a strong company, retaining some key employees for over 20-30 years. We take pride in the fact that our employees are trained to the highest level of skill and operation and are some of the best in the area. Dick and Sheila were both born and raised in Idaho and have raised 5 kids in the Rexburg area through their almost 50 years of marriage. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with family and especially their grandkids.

Our Story

Throughout the years, Hill and Son Excavating has been able to build a business based on hard work, ethics, loyalty, and knowledge which makes us stand out amongst the rest. We can do something as small as installing a water service, septic system, or dig a foundation to completing the earthwork for high schools, subdivisions, large apartment complexes, and installed have thousands of miles of pipeline, i.e., Public works, water, sewer, and irrigation pipe. We are a licensed and bonded company.
