Experience the Art of Handmade Furniture
At Bradford Woodworking, we're passionate about creating unique, handmade furniture that tells a story. Since 1980, Brad and his wife Sandy have been running our small shop, dedicated to designing and making furniture one piece at a time. In every piece, you'll find a beautiful unity of form and function, where design and aesthetics meet attention to detail and fine craftsmanship.
Our Story
Brad's love affair with woodworking began on the farm, where he grew up fixing and building things around the property. This passion only grew stronger in high school, where he honed his skills in woodworking. Over the years, Brad has developed a distinct style that blends traditional techniques with modern designs, creating truly one-of-a-kind pieces. Our signature stool, made from ax handles, has been a staple of our line for over 30 years, giving new life and purpose to a relic of the past.
Custom Furniture
We love working with clients to create custom, one-of-a-kind furniture that reflects their unique style and needs. Our commission process starts with a conversation, where we discuss your ideas, preferences, and requirements. We'll then create a proposal, complete with a drawing and price, to ensure we're on the same page. After approval, we'll get started on building your piece, keeping you updated with photos along the way.
Quality and Craftsmanship
At Bradford Woodworking, we're committed to delivering exceptional quality and craftsmanship in every piece we create. We use only the finest materials, carefully selected to ensure durability and beauty. From the initial design to the final product, we pour our heart and soul into every piece, ensuring it meets our high standards.
What Our Customers Say
We're proud to have built a loyal community of customers who appreciate our attention to detail and dedication to craftsmanship. Here's what some of them have to say: "I have no idea how long it has been since we bought two pitchfork arm chairs and two backed stools. All I can say is that the wood has aged beautifully and they are still fabulous." - Saul; "Well, I should have ordered pizza tonight. Because I had a really hard time making dinner, given that every few minutes found me back in the doorway of my bedroom, gaping in awe at my bed! Oh, it is so beautiful. Thank you for everything." - Linda
