Our Story
Sign of the Whale Antiques is a group shop comprised of four individual businesses: Caroline Jacobsen Antiques, Virginia Larsen Antiques, Liberty Tree Antiques, and Kandy Craig Antiques. Our owners, Caroline Jacobsen, Virginia and John Larsen, Barb Lemme, and Kandy Craig, share a passion for antiques and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers. Over the years, we have built a reputation for offering items of quality to the beginning as well as advanced collector, to dealers, and to those seeking to furnish their homes with antique pieces of merit.
Our Services
We specialize in a wide range of antiques and collectibles, including 19th-century American country furniture in pine, cherry, walnut, and painted surfaces, as well as quilts, hooked rugs, lighting, folk art, decoys, early glass, oil paintings, and yellow ware. Exhibitions and Affiliations
In addition to our open shop, our owners Ginny and Barb exhibit at the Fall and Spring Fox Valley Antiques Shows Online as well as other quality shows. They are also active members of the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association, which produces the Fox Valley Shows, and serve on the Board.
