Mission & Vision

Passage Theatre Company is a non-profit arts organization that has been delivering outstanding programs to the Greater Trenton communities for over thirty years. Our mission is to produce intimate, entertaining, and challenging theatre that speaks to the diversity of our community, and seeks to create a dialogue between our audiences and the art. We believe that the stories, bodies, and experiences of Black and Brown people matter in our world and in our communities, and we stand firmly against racism and oppression.

History

Founded in 1985, Passage Theatre has been a staple of Trenton's arts and culture scene for over three decades. Over the years, we have produced countless plays that have illuminated our shared history and human experience. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion has been a driving force behind our programming, and we have continuously sought to provide a platform for underrepresented voices.

Services Offered

Passage Theatre Company offers a wide range of services to our community. We produce professional plays and musicals that are accessible to all, regardless of income. We offer discounted tickets to families enrolled in state assistance programs through the Families First Discovery Pass program. We also provide education and outreach programs, including workshops, staged readings, and community events.

In addition to our regular season, we offer special events such as our annual gala, community events, and playlab rentals. Our Mill Hill Playhouse is available for rent for community events, performances, and other activities. We also offer a playlab program, which provides emerging artists with the resources and support they need to develop new work.
