Fred's Painting

Fredericksburg Painting Services was founded in March 2003 by Jeff Gandee and Kelly Pawlik. Michael Payne joined the company two months later. Over the years, the business has experienced slow and steady growth, currently employing 11 people. Michael now manages projects independently while still working alongside the team. The company has built a reputation as one of the premier historic restoration painting companies in the area, with notable projects including Marmion Mansion, the Old Mansion, and the Mary Washington House.

Exterior Painting: Full service exterior painting, certified for homes built before 1978.

Wood Staining & Finishing: All types of staining and wood finishing, including repair of furniture finishes and stripping and refinishing services.

Spray Booth Services & Cabinetry: Professional 5-stage HVLP sprayer for clear or solid-color lacquers, enamels, acrylic paint, stains, and clear-coats.

Molding Installation: Add crown molding, chair rail, or wainscoting to a room for an extra touch.

Exterior Cleaning & Pressure Washing: Large jobs or small, with a gentle method for older properties.

Wood Rot Replacement & Repairs: Repair and replacement services for wood rot.

Wallpaper Removal: Get rid of old wallpaper with our removal services.

Painter for a Day: A full day of minor painting touch-ups and carpentry for $350 or a half day for $250.

Color Consultation: Complimentary color consultation to help with paint color choices.

Lead Safe Practices: Licensed in Lead Renovation, Repair, and Painting, with an option for Lead Test & Consultation for $200 if needed.

New Construction Painting: Painting services for custom builders in the area.
