Our Inn is a Maine Historic Inn, featuring high ceilings, crown molding, rich oak wainscoting, period light switches, large original windows, including stained glass windows. History

The Munroe Inn has a long and storied history. It is located in a historic home built in 1899 in Auburn, then Massachusetts. The home was constructed for Horace and Maria Munroe, a prominent family of three generations in the civic, business, and political life of Central Maine. The home was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and underwent a careful restoration in 2014-2019, with attention to maintaining the historic attributes of the home. Today, the Munroe Inn is a licensed hospitality lodging, offering a unique blend of modern amenities and historic charm.
