Southeast Texas Windstorm Inspections, LLC, is a professional engineering firm dedicated to providing top-notch windstorm engineering, design, and inspection services to the Southeast Texas region. Our team consists of highly skilled engineers with more than 30 years of combined expertise in structural, windstorm engineering, design, and inspection.

Our company was founded by brothers Wesley Buchhorn, P.E., and Tim Buchhorn, P.E., who both graduated from prestigious universities and have extensive experience in designing commercial and residential structures and foundations. They are both licensed in Texas, Louisiana, and Florida and have been appointed by the Texas Department of Insurance to perform windstorm engineering, inspections, and certifications of structures and components.

Our team focuses on safety, quality, performance, and schedule-driven projects. We understand the importance of meeting deadlines and ensuring that all projects are constructed in accordance with the current International Residential Code (IRC), International Building Code (IBC), and ASCE 7-05 requirements for windstorm certification in the State of Texas.

Additionally, we offer individual services such as A-Zone letters, Breakaway Wall letters, Com-Check calculations, V-Zone letters, Res-Check calculations, and design capabilities including architectural, civil, structural, site plans, and windstorm certification (WPI-8 certificate). Our team is equipped to handle all aspects of windstorm inspections and certifications to ensure that all structures are Windstorm Certified and eligible for Windstorm Insurance.
