At Wee Folk Childcare Center, we are dedicated to fostering early childhood experiences that offer a nurturing and loving environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool children. With over 30 years of childcare experience, our highly qualified, passionate teachers and staff are all dedicated to building partnerships with you to work together for your child's development.

Our Goal

Our goal is to provide a stimulating environment for creative play and constructive learning. We believe that children learn best when they're being creative, which is why we follow the Creative Curriculum. This method of learning helps children become independent, communicative, critical thinkers. Our dedicated staff helps through intentional, age-appropriate programs and materials. Our daily activities encourage social interaction and improve both fine and gross motor skills for physical development. Through hands-on exploratory activities in dramatic play, math, science, and language, we develop children's emotional and mental aptitude.

Our Services

Wee Folk Childcare Center offers a range of childcare services for children from six weeks old to 5 years old. Our infant program provides a loving and nurturing environment for our youngest learners, with a focus on building trust and developing sensory awareness. Our toddler program encourages exploration and discovery, with a focus on developing social and emotional skills. Our preschool program prepares children for kindergarten, with a focus on developing cognitive and language skills.

Meet Our Staff

Every Wee Folk teacher is highly qualified, passionate, and experienced. Each staff member meets the required standards set by state laws. We have a centralized process to confirm professional references and criminal background screenings. Our staff members also complete 16 hours of training per year to continue improving their knowledge of child development.

Communication

The Wee Folk team is committed to building partnerships with our families. We realize the key to an ongoing partnership is through formal and informal communication. Our methods of communication include: dialogue at drop off and pick up, special/individual notes, monthly newsletters, bi-annual conferences, bulletin boards, posted lesson plans and menus. Online communication through the Lillio App for teachers and parents is also available in each classroom.

Classroom Management

Our building is locked and secured with a computer check-in/out procedure. All children are supervised at all times. Each staff member is trained in first aid and CPR, and we have a comprehensive emergency preparedness plan in place.
